This summer, the Whidbey Playhouse welcomes the world famous Missoula Children's Theatre to our main stage! The MCT never disappoints, and their original adaptation of THE LITTLE MERMAID should be no exception.
Workshops start August 8th
Performances August 13th at 3:00 and 5:30p.m
Open auditions held on August 8th at 10:00a.m at the Oak Harbor Lutheran Church, 1253 NW 2nd Ave (across from the high school). Open to all children entering 1st through 12th grades. Those auditioning should be prepared to stay for 2 hours, as some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.
Among the roles to be cast are:
-The Little Mermaid, Celia
-Her 3 sisters, Delia, Amelia and Ophelia
-Gil, the merboy next door
-The Royal Family, including the Prince, King and Queen
-The Poetic Town Criers
-Dynamic Scouts
-Snoopy Seasiders
-Galloping Seahorses
All students entering 1st through 12th grade are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.
