This is also an option for students who are not cast in the show or placed into apprenticeships. This is a unique opportunity to explore aspects of theatre that most people do not receive training in until the collegiate level. Workshops are open to all kids aged 9 to 18 regardless of skill level. We are excited to offer classes this summer that cover many areas of theatre arts. Examples of workshops that we plan to offer include: Lighting Design, Costume Design, Special Effects Makeup, Playwriting, Audition Techniques, Scene Design and Stagecraft, Voice, Improv, Movement, and Acting. We have several, well trained professionals lined up to teach, includingpeople who have worked in the industry in Hollywood and Europe. These workshops may change depending upon availability of instructors and interest. You will be able to view a finalized calendar of workshops on our website by May 25th. A participation fee of $50 is due at time of registration which will take place at 6pm on June 1st at the Playhouse Mainstage. The fee includes attendance at any of the workshops that interest you.
