BUY TICKETS FOR HOW TO EAT LIKE A CHILD

Whidbey Playhouse will take audience members through the joys and sorrows of being young in "How to Eat Like a Child", opening Friday, December 9 for two weekends of performances.

This musical romp through the joys and sorrows of being a child features a collection of songs and sketches that teach the audience "lessons", such as how to beg for a dog and how to stay home from school. The pace is fast, the tone subversive, and the recognition instant!

"How to Eat Like a Child" is based on Delia Ephron's book of the same name and was first adapted for a 1980’s TV special starring Dick Van Dyke. Whidbey Playhouse first presented the show in 2004 and is now offering it to a new generation of performers and audiences. Twenty-three students ranging in age from 7 to 16 make up the talented cast directed by Rusty Hendrix.

"How to Eat Like a Child" runs December 9 – 18 on the Whidbey Playhouse stage, 730 SE Midway Blvd, Oak Harbor. Performances are Fridays and Saturday at 7:30 pm, with 2:30 pm matinees on Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets are available online at www.whidbeyplayhouse.com, by calling the box office at 360-679-2237, or stopping by the theater during office hours Tuesdays – Fridays, 1:00 – 6:00 pm.
